Pride is the fuel that keeps us striving for excellence; it is as simple as that. It’s not arrogance or ego, it’s the quiet satisfaction of knowing that you’ve given your best. In our sport of soaring, pride shines in the way we prepare, perform, and present ourselves as ambassadors of the sport.
Having pride means arriving ready, glider inspected, mind focused, attitude positive. It’s taking ownership of your performance and representing your club or team with professionalism. Pride pushes you to keep learning, to refine your technique, and to mentor others along the way.
There’s pride in discipline, in doing things the right way, every time. From checklists to safety briefings, small details can reflect big values. Pride means refusing to cut corners because you respect the process and the people around you.

In our training paths from the beginning to where we are all now in our journey, pride turns effort into excellence. It keeps standards high and the spirits of everyone around you higher. When you take pride in your flying, you inspire others to do the same, and together you raise the bar for everyone.

Adam Woolley was born into the gliding world, being the 3rd generation in his family. Going solo at 15, his thirst for efficiency in soaring flight & quest for a world championship title to his name has never wavered. One big passion is sharing his experiences & joy with other glider pilots all around the world. Adam is an airline pilot in Japan on the B767 & spends his off time chasing summer around the globe. He has now won 7 national Championships & represented Australia at 5 WGC's & 1 EGC.
