Everyone wants to know what is a fair price? It's what someone is willing to pay for it. After I won the 2015 US Club Nationals, we felt that the ASW-19 I was flying was worth $60,000. It was a proven winner and still the cheapest way to get on a US Team to fly a WGC. However, no buyer felt that was a fair price... Hopefully, it won't lose too much value after the owner races it this summer.

What is important to you in a sailplane? I remember one student that really wanted automatic control hookups, which was number one his priority list. You may consider a good trailer as a high priority, I remember when I was younger I could care less about the trailer.

Remember that amazing flight you had just before you boxed up the glider for the winter? Remember how comfortable with the sailplane you were? You are not there anymore. It is really hard to improve if you do not know what you need to focus on and what you do not. So you need to start with a list of strengths and weaknesses. Once you pinpoint what you need to focus your attention on, you can make a plan to move those weaknesses to the strengths list.

You want to be surprised when the rope doesn't break. I use this same pessimistic attitude while slope soaring. Be surprised when things go your way. But this should be applied to the entire tow too.
