General Description
Cloth Tape is an adhesive tape that resembles medical tape. It has good adhesion which holds up well to UV and moisture. Because of its good flexibility, it's great for gear and engine doors where mylar is impractical. Cloth Tape also works well as a control surface gap seal on older wood and metal gliders. It will shrink slightly so please take care not to stretch it when applying.
Economy Cloth Tape is a heavy–duty matte–finish vinyl coated cloth with a natural rubber-based adhesive. This tape just like tesa® has a clean removal with little to no residue. While tested adhesion (to steel) is higher than tesa® it doesn't seem to stick to gel coat and paint as strongly as tesa®.
tesa® Cloth Tape is a powerful, high–quality, acrylic–coated cloth tape. It's based on a 148–mesh woven rayon fabric backing and natural rubber adhesive. Its mesh has a higher concentration than our Economy Cloth Tape. Stretchiness or elongation is better with tesa®. If you want the best tesa® is the way to go.
