General Description
Walter Dittel Battery Box - by f.u.n.k.e. Avionics - has a long history in sailplanes. It is extremely rugged and comes with a base plate that easily mounts to your sailplane. It is well secured, uses solid DIN connectors, has simple voltage reading and a circuit breaker for battery protection.
The Dittel Battery Box is removable and installs in seconds with the thumb screw which mounts to the base plate. It is designed to house a 7 to 9 Ah battery such as the Power–Sonic PS–1290 or K2 LiFePO4. It includes a battery indicator which allows for a quick battery status with just a press of a button. One LED indicates 11V, each additional LED indicates 1 additional volt.
