TOST Retrofit to Hydraulic Shoe Brake System

General Description

TOST Retrofit to Hydraulic Shoe Brake System - To increase the braking force of the 4″ and 5″ shoe brake wheels, they can be fitted with a hydraulically actuated anchor plate. The advantage is that the friction of the mechanic actuating cables is omitted due to the hydraulic actuation. Thus the brake gains power and is better dosable. The effort involved in the modification is minimal: only the anchor plate has to be exchanged. All connecting dimensions of the wheel (installation width, position of the anchor bolt) remain unchanged.

The hydraulically actuated anchor plates are supplied including the master cylinder, hydraulic hose and detailed working instructions.

Please indicate with your order the aircraft type, axle diameter and type of anchor bolt, so that we can deliver the suitable anchor plate.

If the wheel is more than 30 years old, we recommend a technical consultation before the modification.

The set consists of a new anchor (brake) plate, ready mounted with components for the hydraulic actuation, the master cylinder and the service and filling kit.

TOST Retrofit Kit is a special order items. Please allow approximately 4 weeks for delivery.
