Proven Winner, LS7-WL package Located in the PNW.
Condition is very Good with an honest & transparent history.
Incredibly well-equipped, highly upgraded Rolladen-Schneider LS7-WL package with a proven racing pedigree, having won the back-to-back 2024 and 2025 Region 8 Championships. This ship is the ultimate entry into competitive Standard, Sports, or Club Class racing without the six-figure price tag. It is fully set up for self-sufficient, high-performance cross-country soaring. Meticulously cared for by the current owner for the past 19 years. During the off-season when the glider was not being flown, it was stored inside its trailer inside a completely dry hangar, protecting it from UV and moisture damage. The glider was purchased as a salvage project by the current owner. Repairs were professionally completed in 2013, primarily involving the right-wing plus minor fuselage repairs. The ship has been safely flown competitively for the last 13 years since being repaired—its performance is thoroughly proven. The finish is in very good condition for a 1989 airframe. Although it was not a complete refinish, about 70 % of the glider was refinished in 2013. The wings and fuselage are smooth, clean, and fast. There is some typical gelcoat crazing localized on the ailerons, but the overall finish presents beautifully. It features very nice custom graphics, including the classic LS logo on the factory supplied winglets and "LS7" style contest numbers that match the original factory logo font and color. The contest numbers will transfer to the new owner. Ballast includes 150 ltr. water bags in the wings with tail ballast tank.
Up Grades:
• DG Factory Winglets: Retrofitted factory winglets that completely transform the LS7's low-speed thermaling and handling characteristics, giving it excellent roll authority.
• Roeger Hook: Installed for a significantly safer canopy jettison profile.
• Tail Wheel Retrofit: Upgraded to a pneumatic 210 x 65 tire, which vastly reduces tail boom vibration on rough runways compared to the stock solid wheel.
• Moritz II Brass tail wheel for an optimum CG to achieve maximum performance.
• Included are also nose ballast weights if needed for a lighter pilot.
• Emergency: Integrated Ameri-king AK-450 ELT installed.
• LiFePO4 14 AH Battery with Charger: sufficient for long 8+ hr. flights, plus second backup battery tray and connector should more battery power be needed.
Summary:
This LS7-WL is an incredibly honest ship. It isn't a pristine, untouched museum piece—it is a battle-tested, region-winning cross-country machine that has been loved, protected in a dry hangar, and meticulously upgraded for nearly 20 years. If you want a turn-key race proven package, this is it.
