DG Flugzeugbau DG-400

Beautiful self-launching DG-400 with mid-time Rotax engine that runs great! Powered climb rate has been 600-800 fpm! Around 150 hours since engine overhaul. I’m selling it since I am buying a dual seat high performance motorglider for my operation. I LOVE this DG-400 and it flies beautifully! 15m and 17m (44.5:1 L/D) wingtips, ADS-B Out Air Avionics Transponder, Oudie 4. Canopy and finish in very good condition. Comes with a good clamshell trailer, new mylars installed, full outdoor covers and a one-man rigger. Includes various canopy covers including a lightweight reflective cover, new batteries and quite a few extras. I have lots of pictures to share. I recently got this bird to Hawaii to map the amazing wave and convergence here and now it’s time to make the big move to start the Soar Hawaii Foundation with a two seat motorglider! As it arrived I did a full anti-corrosion treatment and it has been in its dehumidified trailer since arriving here mid 2025 when I wasn’t flying; it was in Minden before that so it’s very clean. The trailer has always been stored in my hangar since arriving here. It’s not too expensive to ship the glider trailer to the west coast so I’m happy to split that cost. I’ll likely fly it next week since the soaring conditions here are awesome but then it’s time to find this beauty a new home. With a quick 1 minute self-launch climb then cooldown we can fly all day here, so there won’t be more than a few more minutes on the engine… -James CFIG, Dual ATP
