Located KVSF, Springfield Vermont.
Carat is a self launch single seat sailplane with a retractable conventional main landing gear, propeller blades fold forward with engine off, Discus B wings, L/D 37:1, engine cruise 103 kts burning 2.8 gph. A delight to fly allowing the sailplane pilot total independence.
Carat 001 first flew in December 1997 made by Technoflug Germany before production was taken over by AMS in Slovenia. I imported this Carat from Germany in 2011. FAA Experimental Airworthiness Certificate. Carat is still in production by AMS/MAG Slovenia with product and parts support.
Total time airframe 1615 hours, Engine 115 hours since new (installed 2008)
