For Sale: SGS 1-26B Motor-Glider
Registered Ultralight, C-IFWE, is a Schweizer 1-26B glider what was converted to a self-launching motor-glider. This is a one of a kind airplane that is an absolute joy to fly. Includes roadworthy open Schweizer trailer and fuselage cover for outside tiedown. All metal wings, steel tube fuselage with fiberglass nose and fabric aft section. Fabric tail and ailerons. New fabric on horizontal and elevator. Steerable nose wheel, wingtip wheels and hydraulic disc brake for taxiing. 5 hrs on the engine. Instruments: ASI, Alt, variometer (VSI), compass, TinyTach, EGT, CHT, Fuel Gauge, ball and yaw string. Recently installed a TOST release for towing to be able to operate as a pure glider. New replacement canopy glass included (small crack in existing canopy)
This aircraft was sold and now the purchaser has decided that the logistics of getting her to San Francisco is too much and asked that I find a new buyer.
