Schleicher Ka-6CR

Project plane, N5597A, 542 hours. Has factory bungee launch hook and Tost CG hook. Fabric has been removed and most paint is stripped. Logs start in 1974. I have the FAA records going back to new. Fuselage has old repairs that are documented in the logs. The primary repair needed that I know of is re-gluing the wing rib gussets in the non-skinned area. Some of these gussets need replaced. I can also see that there will be at least one repair needed under the skinned part of the wing and two small cuts to the skin itself. My reading of the recommended BGA inspection 042/07/2004 guideline doesn't indicate that the skinned areas will need further work. Wings are otherwise in very good condition, ailerons and dive brakes operate easily. One dent in skin of horizontal stabilizer, otherwise the tail surfaces look perfect. Fuselage, spars, and tail surfaces don't have the gusset problem like the wing ribs. Weight and Balance sheets aren't well done, but with the old cotton fabric and multiple coats of paint, they show as little as 200 lbs useful load on one sheet, up to 230 lbs useful on other sheets. Canopy has some light scuffs, but no cracks. No trailer, but Northwest US transport may be available.
