Schempp-Hirth Standard Cirrus G/81
This is a late model 1982 Standard Cirrus G/81, with the fixed horizontal stabilizer and elevator (1 of ony 4 in the US). It was stripped down to the fiberglass and refinished with new Gelcoat in 2016. New seatbelt and nose hook were also installed at that time. The interior and instrument panel were refinished and updated. In addition to standard Winter instrumentation, the current configuration includes an LX5000 GPS Computer w/electronic variometer and Microair 760 radio, with PTT on the stick. Ground gear includes a tail dolly, wing stands, wing wheel, towout bar, and one-man rigger system. Trailer is a 1980's Anshau Komet clamshell type. The trailer floor was replaced and side-track guide rails for the wing dollies were installed. Glider is located in Middletown, NY.
