LX Navigation LX 10K

LX Navigation LX10K

General Description

LX Navigation LX 10K is an IGC certified standalone logger with a bright, transflective technology display, which offers the pilot multiple navigation and vario pages. It is a flight recorder, final glide calculator and navigation system with an internal battery, audio warnings, vario beeps and voice messages.

The unit is capable of providing APT (airport), TP (turnpoint), and TSK (task) and NRST (nearest landable) navigation on four dedicated navigational pages. Navigation pages feature Navboxes, which can be personalized by the pilot to his requirements. Airspace, airports and turnpoint information is shown graphically.

The LX 10k is designed to fit a standard aviation 80mm hole for the main unit and 57 or 80mm hole for the vario unit.

The LX 10k has a dedicated pressure sensor for determining your altitude, providing a more accurate altitude reading in comparison with GPS–altitude based systems. A minimum sampling rate of 100 Hz is applied to all sensors.

As an integral part, it has a 3.5″ sunshine readable transflective LCD display to show all user–defined data during flight.

For accessing all system options, simple selections are used, much like the ones used on all our devices, from the LX 5000 onward.

A voice module is built–in for audio warnings.

An integral IGC approved flight recorder with ENL level detector will record flights to internal solid–state memory (16GB). It has the possibility of connection to a MOP sensor, making it an MOP logger as well. All flights can be copied to an external SD card after the flight.

Why LX Navigation?

LX Navigation is one of the oldest glider navigation brands. Its founders started experimenting with glider computers way back in the 70's and the Company has been working on improving your flight performance ever since.

Throughout the last 40 years or so it has been working on instruments that most pilots will have used at some time. In fact, our equipment can be found in almost any gliding club!

Our equipment has always been ground–breaking.

Our motto? – Be the first. Be the best. Be different.

Why LX 10K?

Because the LX 10k is an evolution of the now well proven 10k variometers and Zeus glide computers. It is designed to be somewhere in–between. To offer more flight–features, greater screen usage and simpler usage than the 10k varios, yet a smaller package than the Zeus glide computers.

It is designed mainly for pilots ranging from beginners offering them basic navigation to an airport, enhanced situational awareness, greater safety with Flarm, to advanced competition pilots offering them full task navigation, IGC with ENL certification and the possibility of MOP (Means of Propulsion) sensor, as well as internal reserve batteries for extra security of IGC files. Due to its small size and wide versatility, it is especially convenient for club gliders, allowing protection of pilot data and locking of profiles and system settings.

The main unit is an 80–millimetre device with a state–of–the–art 3.5″ transflective technology display. The screens themselves are optimized for the standard-sized aviation hole with an intuitive layout.

The extra 57 or 80–millimetre vario enables us to give you the largest possible screen size as no vario scale is needed on the main device. Complete customization of the vario unit is also possible. The vario unit can be based on any of our 4 main varios – Eos 57, Era 57, Eos 80, Era 80.

With the Wi–Fi/Bluetooth module inside, you are stepping into the age of connectivity, enabling easier transfers, uploads etc.

The LX 10k is a miniature package that includes everything a glider pilot needs from his logger. From vario information, navigation, statistics, up to the very core of this device – IGC certified logger.
