2001 Lak17a F1 (15/18m) - Featured on the Cover of Soaring Magazine (April 2009). Absolutely perfect condition, no damage history, factory polyurathane paint, numerous improvements and updates including: 1) Professionally Polyurathane re-profiled wings (top and bottom) including 18m tips. No spar bumps.
2) Seals routed into wing skin, top and bottom.
3) Nelson cockpit air pressure evacuation vent
4) Nelson breakaway tailwheel. Also has the gear door modification and a tinted canopy (blue).
The trailer is a 2001 Cobra 15m trailer (fiberglass top) and has always been stored indoors (never outdoors other than very rare travel contests). Essentially in perfect condition, excellent finish and includes custom Cobra trailer UV & all weather cover.
F1 is an excellent performer. The glider is past winner of the SSA Region 6 North Contests and 2011 Region 6 OLC contest champion. The glider has achieved numerous 500 km flights. This is an outstanding sailplane in all respects.
