Fully equipped spacious cross-country ship owned by a CFI-G and Air Force Test Pilot that I just don't have the time to fly anymore.
This glider just needs a refresh on the inspections (Annual, Transponder , Oxygen Bottle, Parachute Re-Pack) and some dust wiped off it and it should be ready to fly. It has everything you could want except a FLARM already installed. Comes with a Strong Model 304 seat cushion parachute. I would also include the SPOT Gen 2 tracker, an LXNAV Nano GPS Logger (Calibrated March 2019), and Oudie 2.
I have a spare canopy. It also comes with a completely assembled spare wheel assembly ($1,100 value) so if you get a flat or have any brake concerns all you have to do is pull the assembly, swap the axle, and reconnect the brake cable and you are back in the air. Plus, you can put the ship back together and work on the brakes or tire later in a workshop rather than on the flight line.
Set up and ground handling is a breeze with an exceptionally well equipped Eberle trailer with new tires (including the spare) in 2022. I have towed the glider across the country several times. Dual tongue jacks save your back during transport AND assembly. Solar panel, RV battery, and inverter built into the trailer so you always have power, and never need to pull the dual lithium batteries out of the glider as they are always kept topped off when the glider is in the trailer. The custom-built wing wheel, and IMI tow out bar make moving the aircraft around the airfield a 1-person operation using any vehicle with a 2" ball (which I can provide with a drop receiver as well). The MM Fabrication Wing Rigger makes handling the beefy 17M wings a breeze.
The previous owner and I are both professional pilots who obsessed about making this ship super easy and fun to fly. I quickly knocked out my Silver badge on my first week long trip with it and had plans to do my Gold and Diamond badges but work and life got in the way. Unfortunately, I haven't had time to fly it since moving from California to Virginia, so I am motivated to sell it to someone looking for a very well-equipped cross-country ship at a great price. Come check it out and make an offer. If you simply calculate the cost of a roadworthy trailer and the equipment that comes with this package the glider is practically free.
