Fully equipped spacious cross country ship that I just don't have the time to fly anymore.
This glider just needs a refresh on the inspections (Annual , Transponder , Oxygen Bottle, Parachute Re-Pack) and some dust wiped off it and it should be ready to fly. It has everything you could want except a FLARM already installed. Comes with a Strong Model 304 seat cushion parachute. I would also include the SPOT Gen 2 tracker, an LXNAV Nano GPS Logger (Calibrated March 2019) and a Samsung Galaxy Tablet that runs XC Soar using the altitude, airspeed, vario, and GPS position via bluetooth from the LXNAV Nano and the Borgelt B-50 vario. (See picture)
I have a spare canopy. It also comes with a completely assembled spare wheel assembly ($1,100 value) so if you get a flat or have any brake fading concerns all you have to do is pull the assembly, swap the axle, and reconnect the brake cable and you are back in the air. Plus you can put the ship back together and work on the brakes or tire later in a workshop rather than on the flight line.
Set up and ground handling is a breeze with an exceptionally well equipped eberle trailer. Which I towed 2,500 miles in one 4 days last summer with no issues. Dual tongue jacks to save your back during tranport AND assembly. Solar panel, RV battery, and inverter built into the trailer so you always have power, and never need to pull the dual lithium batteries out of the glider as they are always kept topped off when the glider is in the trailer. The custom built wing wheel, and tow out bar make moving the aircraft around the airfield a 1 person operation using any vehicle with a 2" ball (which I can provide with a drop receiver as well). The MM Fabrication Wing Rigger makes handling the beefy 17M wings a breeze.
Myself and the previous owner are both professional pilots who obsessed about making this ship super easy and fun to fly. I quickly knocked out my Silver badge on my first trip week long trip with it and had plans to do my Gold and Dimaond badges but work and life got in the way. Unforunately, I haven't had time to fly it since moving from California to Virginia so it has remained tied down in the trailer at the Front Royal airport.
I am happy and willing to hold on to it for sentimental value and future ambitions if/when life slows down, but I will let it go if I find an eager pilot that like me just doesn't fit well in most of the under $25,000 single seat 40:1 or better ships that are available.
Oh and you might recognize one of the pictures from the SSA Calendar.
