This sailplane was a special build by Schempp-Hirth to showcase the new Discus 2a in America. It was first flown by Tilo Holighaus in the 1998 Standard Class Nationals. Later flown to a 1st place in the Region 6 North Championships by owner Eric Mozer. Always stored in trailer in a hangar except when flying. Instrument panel completely rebuilt in 2016 featuring a ClearNav II in a tunnel mount. Includes two sets of winglets - shown in pictures are the M&H winglets (rare). No stress cracks anywhere. Climbs like a "love-sick angel" and runs with the best.
