½ co-ownership in a privately owned DG1000T based at Arizona Soaring Inc. (Estrella). Sale price includes ½ ownership of Ensign T-hangar. We are the second owners of this glider. The first owners (Burt and Frank Compton at Marfa Texas) flew it for only 10 hours after importation as new. due to various limiting issues. Both the sailplane and Cobra trailer have always been stored indoors. The Cobra trailer has been kept on jacks in a private storage shed and has essentially never been used except for annuals. Both are in pristine condition. The glider was annualed woyj all AD’ satisfied in March 2023. The glider has low airframe time and very low engine time in addition to immaculate paperwork. The hangar is at mid-runway for fast access to commercials tows only steps away from the tow line hook up. The hangar can be seen as the Ensign T-hangar just to the west of midfield on the south side of the runway on Google earth at E68. The hangar was constructed by the Ensign company and sits on a concrete slab with solar charging, solar electric ventilation, electric door, and urethane foamed interior. The interior is consistently 25 F degrees cooler than the outside air in mid-summer. The other owner will be taking delivery on a new single seat glider in approximately 2 ½ years at which time that ½ ownership will be available. This may be an excellent sailplane for an airline pilot who commutes to Sky Harbor or husband and wife snowbirds who wish to fly together all winter while retiring in nearby Phoenix or Maricopa. The glider has a standard airworthiness certificate. The glider and trailer are hand waxed every year. The canopies are blue tint. The glider has both 18M and 20M tips, but it has only been flown in the 20M configuration. The gear is electric retraction with a new recently replaced Michelin tire and new Tost brake pads. It has the regular and extra heavy brass tail wheel with a full set of brass tail weights for CG optimization. The control surfaces were resealed 3 years ago. This glider has absolutely no accident history and has only had very minor invisible PU touch up for minor hangar rash by Paul Gaines. Typical cross-country flights include trips south to El TIro glider port in Tucson with numerous airport runways dotting the valley between Phoenix and Tucson. The Estrella glider port operation is open daily for tows every day of the year except for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
