Like new Arcus J (jet) that is a one of a kind. Available immediately!! This sailplane is in like new condition and is extremely unique since it is equipped with a self launching turbojet engine. This system is extremely reliable and was crafted by Bob Carlton. NO expense was spared with this awesome sailplane. It is very special for the following reasons: 1. An extremely reliable power plant system was installed, the PBS TJ100 turbojet that allows easy self launching and climbs up to FL180 and climb rates of 700 fpm at 85 kt climb speed. There is no vibration with this engine and only 2 switches to get the engine started (pylon up and engine start switch). There is no noticeable drag with the engine extended which makes it VERY safe for returning to the airport after a low altitude engine failure. 2. Special engineering was done by Schempp Hirth that gives it a much higher Vne at higher altitudes. At FL270, Vne is an incredible 141 knots INDICATED AIRSPEED. 3. This Arcus has an AUTO FLAP system that when engaged, allows the flaps to automatically drive themselves to the optimal position during all phases of flight reducing a huge amount of pilot workload. Set it and forget it. 4. All lit instruments are specially coated for Night Vision Goggle use, which is a large expense. 5. Four oxygen bottles that allows massive oxygen capacity for well over 18 hours of oxygen use at flight level altitudes. 6. This aircraft is legal for night flight having been equipped with external LED nav/strobe lighting. This sailplane includes all instruments shown in the pictures and a like new Cobra trailer with all tow out gear, one man rigging system, fueling system, outlets for heated clothing, LED nav/strobe lights, batteries, and never used Jaxida covers. This glider is THE VERY LAST ONE AVAILABLE and is the ultimate flying machine. Four were made. I currently own one (N189DT) and Airbus owns the other two. Once this glider is sold there will be no opportunity to get another one like this. Since I own one I can attest to its incredible capability. This Arcus is so well equipped.
