General Description
Jumbo Putzi Bug Wiper Drive - is a small and rugged drive for glider bug wipers. It was developed to keep the pilot's attention on his principal job and not distract him through the wiping process, providing a simple activation and intrinsic automated wiper control. Furthermore, the drive handles the available battery power economically through its economical design and thus minimizing the energy consumption for a wiper run. The drive principle has already proven its design in use for over ten years on many installations.
The wiper run is supervised by a microcontroller. Only the rope length has to be adjusted once to the wing span. The controller adjusts during operation to the specifics of the installation, many errors are detected automatically; manual configuration is not necessary.
Any wiper wings can be connected to the system; no restrictions are known so far.
