Glasflugel H 301 Libelle

I am reluctantly selling my Libelle 301 B. I just don't fly it enough, especially since I got my ASK-14 flying. I am the third owner and it has lived its life at Wabash Valley Soaring, in a hangar when it wasn't flying. The first owner bought it in 1969 (it was actually the second one shipped to him, the first one was on a container ship that sunk in the St. Lawrence seaway, along with at least one other Libelle) and he flew it for about 300 hours. The second owner was a retired Navy Commander and he put almost 2000 hours on it and when he passed away it was willed to our club, from whom I acquired it . It has complete records since the day it was purchased. It does have some damage history - the tail boom was broken about 2//3 of the way back during a contest in 1972 when the glider had 176 hours on it. The glider was repaired by the experts in our club shortly thereafter and before I bought it, I had it taken to Gehrlein to have the repair inspected and it passed with flying colors, and there is a logbook entry to that effect. The recent CG release has been complied with. The glider still has the original finish and it is in good shape, especially when you consider that the glider is 55 years old. It is definitely not perfect, but it is a joy to fly and needs nothing. It also has the original drag parachute, which I regularly use just because it is so much fun, but if you need it, it will allow an extremely steep approach into a very short landing area. The canopy is the racing canopy; I do not have a standard canopy for it. The trailer is an Arlington trailer which was made for a Libelle and the trailer is in very good shape.
