ASW 22 BLE 50R (Registration N227BE) • One of the last ASW 22 BLE-50R from Schleicher, Serial # 22077 (1998). L/D = 62 • Airframe: 583.13 • Engine: 50.94 (50-HP Midwest-Wankel 50R, water cooled) • Finish: Urethane over gel coat, fair-to-good condition • Trailer: 1998 Cobra, metal top, excellent condition, new tires (8/2024), new lift struts (4/2025) • Instrumentation: Cambridge L-Nav, Becker Radio, Winter ASI, Vario, Altimeter • Licensed to 850 kg (large water bags) • € 77,500 Comments: The airplane requires an inspection and some work to restore airworthiness. Glider and trailer have been hangered (Kerrville, Texas, dry climate). The most recent flight (July 7, 2010) was the US Open Class championship (1st place finish). Last motor run was 2012. The paint (urethane over gel coat, ~2012?) is OK, but merits attention & polishing. A Steerable Tailwheel (same as ASH-26) was installed (for taxiing at large airports). Dive Brakes need adjustment for proper fit. There is a ~20mm puncture on top of Right outer panel (cosmetic, not structural, caused by one-main assembly-dolly collapse). Instrumentation is obsolete, save for the radio. Complete ground-handling equipment (Cobra type) and covers included. Trailer includes extensive storage (two side boxes and bottom drawer).
