General Description
LX Navigation Iris Chrono - is a device that displays UTC time, local time, and flight time. All of this data is received from the built-in GPS module. There is also a stopwatch, which can be started and stopped by pressing a turn knob. Apart from controlling the stopwatch, the turn knob can also be used to adjust the brightness. The Iris Chrono has a backup battery inside.
3 Hour battery backup - All LX Navigation devices come with a backup battery in case of electrical failure with at least 3 hours of battery juice inside, which is activated only if you lose power mid-flight.
LX Navigation has been able to save numerous flights with backup battery power and made it a standard, because they understand how important it is, to have a backup.
The GPS antenna comes included with the device.
