Vertigo All-Weather Covers - are the elite in glider covers. Each cover is custom designed and hand-made to fit individual gliders, with functionality, ease of use and style at the core of our design ethos. Our high-performance fabric is weather-resistant and naturally breathable, and built-in hail resistance offers protection from the harshest environments.

Q: How long does it take to receive my cover from ordering?
A: Standard delivery is approximately 4-6 weeks. Each cover is tailor-made in our UK factory, so lead times can vary depending on the time of year. If you’re in urgent need of a cover, please do let us know and we’ll try our best to accommodate.
Q: How long can I expect my cover to last?
A: This is a tricky one to answer as it depends on the environment the cover is used in.
Q: Does the cover offer any protection against hail?
A: Built into the exposed top of every cover is a 3mm thick, 3-dimensional woven spacer fabric, offering protection against potential hail damage.
Q: Is the cover lined?
A: To protect Perspex canopies, each cover is lined with a seersucker fabric (not flock or fluff) specifically designed to repel debris & grit. This inner liner provides excellent anti-scratch protection.
Q: What is the Rapid Zip system?
A: The Rapid Zip system is a fast, practical and safe solution for putting large wing covers on with minimum effort and avoiding wing tip and aileron snags. The zip covers the length of the wing. Rapid Zip is only available on full-length wings.
Q: How many parts are there in a full set and how is the cover secured?
A: We normally make glider covers in five separate sections – canopy, wings, fuselage, fin & tailplane - each of which join using high-strength Velcro. There are various hooks, bungee & zips around the cover to keep it secured in place. We aim for a glove-like fit to minimize movement and extend the cover's lifespan. Q: How much does a cover weigh?
A: On average, a full set of All-Weather Covers for a single-seater glider is approximately 16kg. For a larger two-seater sailplane, the weight would be around 20-23kg. This will depend on the aircraft type.
Q: Is a storage bag included and if so, how many bags will I receive?
A: Bags are included. As standard, smaller single-seater glider covers are supplied in one bag. Larger two-seater gliders tend to be separated into two bags. If required, additional bags can be ordered.
