General Description

Canopy Cap by Franklin Fabrication is a lightweight, compact, reflective shade designed for use during rigging and while waiting on the grid. Its strapless design allows easy access to the cockpit during assembly, keeping the cockpit shaded and noticeably cooler.

When you’re ready for launch, simply slip the cover off and stow it in the included storage bag inside the cockpit during flight.

The lightweight design is not intended for extended outdoor use. It is not a replacement for a heavyweight, all-weather cover.

Do not use while trailering, as it will not allow the canopy to be locked.

Say goodbye to umbrellas that blow away in the wind! This simple solution stays put and does the job.

Most Canopy Caps are in stock and ship the same business day during regular business hours. Certain styles are sewn on demand and may take up to one week to ship.

Sunshield Flap Included

On a front hinging canopy the sun may burn instruments or other items in the cockpit. With the sun low behind the tail the canopy may act as a magnifying glass and reflect a beam of light into the cockpit.

Side hinge canopies do not allow for a Sunshield Flap. However, greater detail and material go into producing a side hinge Canopy Cap.
