After only a year of enjoying it, I must sell my DG808C Competition. It’s a joy and I hate to let it go, but advancing age has taken a toll on me and I can no longer fully enjoy soaring in and with it, so I must regrettably part company. Overall, it is an excellent glider and trailer, and a bargain when you consider the price of new.
Panel upgraded to complement the LX9000 (including adding Hawk) and V8. Put in TRIG TT22 and TY91, which are controlled by an Air Avionics ACD57, so no panel space taken with the TRIG heads. There is a separate avionics LiPo battery. It has ADS-B in and out, with FLARM PowerMouse integrated to the LX9000.
The engine hasn’t hiccupped since I’ve had it. I’ve done multiple air restarts with no hesitation from the engine. The auto engine retract works great. There are several spare parts for the engine. It includes all the rigging and tow out gear you need - with the IMI power rigger as the centerpiece. Wing water bags working. Finished in PU, which is in great shape. Trailer is in great shape, and I’ve have taken it several hundreds of miles. Has a NOAH emergency egress system.
