General Description

Bar Wax - is best described as a polish. “Hardwaxing” will remove small scratches and give your glider a beautiful shine. This product is used after a repair and is in the final stage after sanding with 1500 grit sandpaper. Many continue to use it once a year to sustain the beautiful shine of the sailplane.

Scope of delivery: 1 bar, ca. 900g

W&W typically stocks Bar Wax.

Application

Bar wax is applied with an angle–grinder and a cotton buffing wheel. Care must be used as you can burn or damage the glider.

The heating of the surface done when applying the hard wax also helps soften the gel coat surface forcing the wax into the surface and helping slow the crazing process.

This is not a UV protectant.
