Pilot Relief System
Dehydration can lead to pilots making some very serious mistakes. Why take the risk? W&W has the simple parts available to construct your own system. Typically, a rubber hose or tube is routed from the cockpit, through the cockpit floor which eventually exits through the belly or preferably through the landing gear well and is attached to the landing gear door. This requires the extension of the landing gear prior to use but normally insures that the waste fluids dump cleanly away from the sailplane. Obvious care as always should be taken when installing such a system that no controls or apparatus can be fouled buy the system hoses or hardware. Please remember that urine is very corrosive. I have seen multiple gliders over the years with damage to the landing gear and rudder because of improper plumbing.
