Flight Data GT-50 OAT Probe - for GT–50 Clock, Timer, G–Meter, Voltmeter and Outside Air Temperature Instrument.

To achieve the most accurate temperature readings, the probe should be installed in the free air stream outside of the arc of the propeller. Locations inside the arc of the propeller can cause inaccurate readings because the air near the probe may be moving faster than the plane is traveling through the air.

We suggest mounting the probe in a wing inspection panel outside of the arc of the propeller. Drill a 3/16” hole in the mounting surface and secure the probe in the hole with the provided nut and washer.
